A common concern from women as they age is a loss of volume and cleavage, as well as a change in the overall shape of the breasts. Many women may seek a surgical breast lift or implants to add volume and cleavage, but this can be costly and increase the risk of infection or loss of feeling. If you are searching for a cost-effective, minimally invasive method to restore volume and shape to your bust, a vampire breast lift may be the right solution.
What is a vampire breast lift?
A vampire breast lift uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance the overall volume and symmetry of the bust and is known as a non-surgical breast augmentation. If you are looking to make a change in the shape or volume to your breasts (similar to the results of a push-up bra), the vampire breast lift may be for you.
It is important to note that the vampire breast lift does not add a cup size to your breast, create a new shape, or eliminate sagging breasts. However, vampire breast lifts create the appearance of firmer, fuller breasts while minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars. It can also restore sensitivity to the area and improve color, texture, and blood flow throughout the breast.
How does it work?
At South Country Med Spa & Wellness, we are proud to offer non-surgical regenerative medicine for your aesthetic concerns. Regenerative medicine works by replacing or regenerating cells and tissue to restore them to normal functionality.
For the vampire breast lift, we use platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, to help your body heal and rejuvenate certain areas. PRP contains healthy growth proteins that will stimulate healing and aid in reducing wrinkles, adding volume, and improving overall skin quality.
What is the procedure?
At the initial consultation, your doctor will examine your breasts, listen to your concerns, and discuss your medical history with you to determine if this procedure is right for you.
If it is determined that the vampire breast lift is right for you, it is important to stop any blood thinning medication at least two weeks before your scheduled procedure.
Though the procedure itself is 30 minutes long, your appointment may take an hour from the consultation to the injection.
At the beginning of the appointment, blood will be drawn (often from the arm) and placed into a centrifuge to draw out the PRP. Some patients may opt to combine their PRP solution with hyaluronic acid, a type of filler, to achieve a fuller, smoother bust.
Numbing cream will be applied to the breast and once the area is numb and your PRP solution ready, the solution will be injected into the targeted area.
You may feel slight pain or discomfort during the injection process but should not experience any significant discomfort.
Some mild irritation, itching, and swelling are common side effects experienced after treatment that should subside after a few days.
Recovery & Results
Aside from the minor side effects, patients can return to normal activities after the appointment. We recommend avoiding touching the treated area for a few hours and refraining from strenuous activities.
Patients will begin to notice gradual changes within the first few weeks and can expect to see full results within three months. These results are considered long-lasting and should last anywhere from 1-2 years.
