What to Expect at South County Med Spa & Wellness

How Does the O-Shot® Work?
The O-Shot® procedure begins with a small blood draw, usually from the arm by our medical staff. Then, by using a centrifuge, the blood is separated into its raw components (red blood cells, platelets, and plasma). By using a proprietary technique, the growth factors are extracted from the blood and concentrated into a platelet-rich plasma serum. Once the serum has been created, it is injected into several targeted areas of the vagina. We use local anesthesia or numbing cream to ensure you are calm, comfortable, and pain-free during your O-Shot® treatment.
After the procedure, the platelet-rich plasma activates the white blood cells which are responsible for the repair and rejuvenation of the injected areas. The body’s absorption of this serum takes place over several months and will help patients regain sexual desire and vaginal consistency and lubrication they have been missing.
